This beautiful home was constructed in 1856 by Miles Whitehurst, prior to his marriage to the love of his life, Rebecca Casey.
It is strikingly similar to "Tara" in Margaret Mitchell's classic tale "Gone with the Wind".
Miles and Rebecca married in January 1859 and together they raised their three children within its walls. Look at our "History" page for more interesting information.
Today, Robert and Terry Wilkinson have restored the property to the elegance of the period.
They extend to you a cordial invitation to join them for a stay with that special charm and grace of true southern style.
An Inn where romance and history come alive. Where charm and grace return in true southern style.
